News Spring 2008

-Maike´s and Michael´s son Luca was born on the 25th of February in Amsterdam. He was 4KG and 52cm.
The birth itself went very quickly, in fact everything went so fast, there was no time to go to a hospital as planned, instead the midwife helped Maike deliver Luca in Maike and Michael´s private living room. The parents are very proud and happy, Luca is doing great.

-The upcoming Into the woods dates have been changed on this website because the 10o clock shows turned out to be "Schulvorstellungen", shows for schoolchildren. Hence these are not included in the ticketsales. Check here.


News Winter 2008

-As many of you know, Maike is pregnant with her first baby, it is expected in february.
Maike:
"Another four weeks to go. The belly is getting really heavy and big but my husband and I are really looking forward to the birth of our first child.
We´ll keep you informed and of course share the first pics with you here."

-After a short baby break Maike will play the baker´s wife in Into the woods along with her friend and colleague Carsten Lepper
as the baker. This time it will be a Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen production in Bozen, Italy. Premiere will be on May 10th. Get your tickets here.

-In the summer Maike starts rehearsals for the Stage Entertainment production Sunset Boulevard, playing the role of Betty. This production will tour in the Netherlands.


News November 2007

-Maike will be doing three concerts in the Netherlands and Germany in december along with her good friend and colleague Wieneke Remmers. Wieneke also starred in Rembrandt and Into the Woods and was recently seen in the Dutch casting programm Looking for Evita in which she entertained the whole BeNeLux with her beautiful voice.

News July 2007

Maike will be playing the part of "Assepoester" in the legendary Sondheim musical "Into the woods" from
september the 8th until september the 29th in the new Amsterdam theater M-Lab.
Shows will be daily from tuesday to saturday in that time.

Maike is currently touring Germany with "The Best of Musicals" Gala tour featuing her as a solist along with seven other top performers, Thomas Borchert, Pia Douwes, Sabrina Weckerlin, Gino Emnes, Ana Milva Gomez, Patrick Stahnke and the RockNRoller Rob Fowler. See an amazing evening of musical theater hits and previews for upcoming shows.

News March 07:

Maike is preparing for her Germany tour this spring and doing some auditions. She also gave a workshop for the students at the Tilburg conservatory.
Besides all that she recorded a Maxi CD in February that will be released for the BOM spring tour. The CD features original songs and you can listen to some previews by clicking on the cover.

News November 06:

"Rembrandt the musical" will go to Rotterdam after finishing in Carré. The show will be in the Luxor theatre in the heart of Rotterdam until January the 7th 2007.
